Color Theory

Analoge Farben

Drei oder mehr Farben, die im Farbkreis nebeneinander liegen und eine gemeinsame Farbfamilie teilen.

Analogous color schemes, such as blue, blue-green, and green, create a sense of harmony and cohesion because the colors share underlying pigments or wavelengths. These palettes are commonly found in nature (think autumn leaves or ocean scenes) and feel comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Analogous schemes work well when one color dominates, a second supports, and a third accents. The risk is low contrast, so designers often pair analogous palettes with a neutral or complementary accent for visual interest.
