Белизна бумаги

Конкретный белый оттенок бумаги, используемой в печатном задании; влияет на внешний вид всех напечатанных цветов.

No two papers are the same shade of white. Some are bright blue-white, others are warm cream, and recycled stocks may be grayish. Since printing inks are translucent and the paper shows through them, the paper's whiteness directly affects how every printed color appears. A warm-white paper will shift blues slightly toward green and make reds appear warmer. This is why Pantone provides both coated (C) and uncoated (U) formulas for the same color, acknowledging the dramatic effect paper stock has on color appearance. Designers must always consider paper white when selecting colors for print.
