لونان يقعان في مواجهة بعضهما مباشرةً على دائرة الألوان، ويخلقان أقصى درجات التباين عند اقترانهما.
Complementary color pairs include red and cyan, blue and orange, and green and magenta (in the RGB model). When placed side by side, complementary colors intensify each other through simultaneous contrast, making both appear more vibrant. When mixed together, they neutralize each other, producing gray or brown. Complementary color schemes are high-energy and attention-grabbing, commonly used in advertising and sports branding. However, using them in equal amounts can create visual tension, so designers typically use one as the dominant color and the other as an accent.
