Deuteranopie

Eine Form der Rot-Grün-Farbenblindheit, die durch das Fehlen grünempfindlicher Zapfenzellen verursacht wird und die Unterscheidung von Rot- und Grüntönen erschwert.

Deuteranopia is the most common form of color vision deficiency, affecting approximately 1% of males. People with deuteranopia lack M-cone (medium wavelength, green-sensitive) photoreceptors, causing green to appear beige or muted and red to appear brownish. The milder form, deuteranomaly (reduced green sensitivity rather than absence), affects about 5% of males. To design for deuteranopia, avoid using red and green as the only differentiating colors in charts, status indicators, or interactive elements. Blue-orange combinations remain distinguishable for most people with this condition.
