Um efeito de design que mapeia a faixa tonal de uma imagem para duas cores em vez do espectro completo.
Duotone replaces the shadows with one color and the highlights with another, with midtones blending between the two. Originally a printing technique for adding richness to two-color print jobs, duotone has become a popular digital design trend for hero images, brand photography, and social media content. Spotify popularized the modern duotone aesthetic in their marketing. The technique works especially well with high-contrast photographs and allows designers to unify diverse imagery under a consistent brand palette. In CSS, duotone effects can be approximated using mix-blend-mode and gradient overlays.
