Color Theory

Brillo

La intensidad percibida de la luz emitida o reflejada por un color, donde el brillo máximo representa la forma más pura del matiz.

Brightness, used in the HSV (Hue-Saturation-Value) model, differs from lightness in an important way: at maximum brightness (100%) with full saturation, the color is its most vivid form, not white. White only occurs when brightness is 100% and saturation is 0%. This makes HSV more intuitive for tasks like adjusting how 'strong' a color appears without washing it out. Brightness is closely related to the physical concept of luminous intensity but is a perceptual rather than physical quantity.
